Anemones , barnacles, weed & etc in a small crevice.

Bruny Island, Southern Tasmania

Small rock crevice with red anemones, weed and a pinkish covering to the rock, the origin of which I'm not certain. it looks like a thin layer of calcite, but it's pink. When kids are little, there is nothing more fun than sticking a finger gently into the mass of red tentacles of the anemones and feeling the sticky fingers wrap around. I used to love it, and my kids did, too.

What a beautiful composition, Alwyne. Those anemones are gorgeous, too! V.
