A few weeks ago, it was a squally day - not good for going to the Market at all. That night on the news, we saw that a huge branch had blown down onto the street, and yet no-one had been injured. Seems the weather was so foul that the Council workers had gone around early, telling people they could pack up and go home. The vehicular access was usually restricted til 3.00, but this time, the stall-holders had been able to get their cars/vans, etc in early. The stall usually set up here, - a nursery outlet, as you can see, had left a 20 minutes earlier, and a woman walking by, was missed by about a metre. Whew!
