View from Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu. The building in the middle of the picture near the bottom is fascinating. Viewed from the town, its magnificence can't be captured (well, I couldn't, anyway). It is surrounded by poles, wires and buildings which frustrate the clear view it deserves. It is tall, segmented,curved and from the top of the hill can be seen as an astounding piece of architecture for such a small provincial town. I'd love to have such a building in my hometown.
The temple behind it is Chong Klang. Situated by the lake, at night its lights are the backdrop for the market.
