This was the home of a Chinese merchant, Cheong Fatt Tze, who had it built on Fang Shue principles. We went on a tour but inside the building, we couldn't take photos. We were told that the blue colour was the rage at the time, derived from indigo. The house was used as the site for the film 'IndoChine' and the sedan chairs from the film are parked on the front verandah.
