From Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City, many boats (almost all local, small ones as far as i can see - but not the coracles) have eyes. I've heard one or two reasons proffered, but I'm still making my mind up about the reason. Whatever it is, the eyes are intriguing, delightful. they give the boats real life and some of the expressions have me in stitches. i never cease to be amused.
