Doi Suthep, the wat overlooking the town of Chiang Mai, from a small mountain. It is reached via a song taew (red local bus) ride to the Chiang Mai University, then another up the slope. It took an hour and a half wandering around the wat with the camera. The initial climb up the hill to the wat from the drop-off point is a dramatic set of steps lined on each side by a Thai dragon. Thai dragons are different in shape to Lao or Vietnamese dragons.
