Jokhang Temple -- Da Zhao Si

The Jokhang Temple was built around 642 AD to house the Buddhist statue brought by Princess Wen Cheng. The original Lhasa city was then built surrounding this temple. It's one of the most important religious shrine of Lhasa.

Today, tourists can easily access the 3rd floor roof of the Jokhang Temple. From here, one can admire the golden domes and roofs up close.
