Glacier National Park is not just breathtaking vistas. Last Wednesday, Kim and I went on a five mile hike starting with the “Trail of the Cedars”, which has some trees more than 350 years old. We then arrived at the Avalanche Creek Gorge (first two photos), and then proceeded two miles uphill following Avalanche Creek to Avalanche Lake which is fed by 7 streams and a glacier that is hidden from view. The smoke from the fire created the haze around the lake.
