Fall colors have been beautiful this year for only about ten days before a hard freeze came to stop the brilliant color. A few days ago, the maple trees in this scene were flaming red and the aspens were yellow, orange and some green. This photo shows six inches of drifting snow that now covers the landscape under 15 degree weather when shot.
