After many years among the wild horses in the West Desert, it is very sad to read that the BLM plans to remove 91% of the entire herd this year. Many of the horses including my favorites like Elvis will be gone. Management of the wild horse population could be better implemented using sterilization to curb growth.

In the next two weeks I will make a visit to the range and probably photograph many for the last time.
