All of the bright color in the maple and aspen trees in the mountains is gone. But the varied color of the plants along the small stream running through the mud to the lake displays vivid color along the banks. The lake was full only six weeks ago and this mud flat was under water. these plants grew and will now turn brown with the first frost.
