A single frame from a video I am working on. Shot just two days after the BLM's roundup. According to the BLM, of 159 wild mustnags, 120 were released back into the desert. The Family bands had been broken up and re-formed. This big beautiful white horse, who just a week before had been the most powerful among all the stallions, was now reduced to an outcast. But, it may be temporary, I fully expect him to win back a harem of females.
Searching all day long, I could only find 25 of the horses the BLM had released. And they were scattered widely across the range. I am a bit anxious to see which of the wild horses made the cut to be released home.
