IMGP7527.JPG

Some of the sparring between stallions gets intense, expecially when the bachelor male (On the left) is as big or bigger than the stallion trying to defend his place as the dominant horse over his band of mares.

This action took place after I waited for several hours with my large lens watching the herd.

Pentax K20D ,Sigma 50-500mm
Images were shot using a long lens. The mustangs were not disrupted from their normal activities. full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto
