Red Brick and Bluestone*
by Bugzie

Maribyrnong, Victoria

This wall is one from one of the out buildings at an old pipe making factory in Maribyrnong. What we call bluestone in Melbourne is a deep blue-grey volcanic basalt. Basalt and clay occur together, and this wall is like a geological survey of the earths of the local area.

Beautiful texture and colors. The shadow at the top seems to take something away from it though. accady

You've captured some good texture and colour in the stonework, but I feel the pipe is too near the top to be a strong compositional element. The shadow it casts works well. Dunc
