Thanks for the comments. I've adjusted levels a bit and tried a less square crop. If I crop more off the foreground, I lose the texture in the grass/snow in the lower right that allows the eye to interpret the rest of the hillside.
I really like this shot a lot, very good 'atmosphere', nice sense of 'story' cool background. Very well spotted.
I do think the snow is was too blue/cyan. I think I might slap a gradient mask over the sky to protect that, then really desaturate the blue and cyan in the land (foreground and background).
One other thing I'd try is to crop the bottom almost up to where the hill meets the left side of the frame. Although there'd be less foreground, for me the pano look of a crop like this gives a better feeling of the distance that the walker has travelled.
