This speaks to the mystery of fog or mist - the silhouettes formed not so much by a single light source but a more diffuse background light. I actually like the DOF the way it is, as it adds to the mysterious foggy atmosphere of the shot.
THe diagonal of the flowers and opposite of the background do make this image very interesting. Though I would wish for a higher dof. Specially I want to see the middle flower little bit more clearly: a gradual change across the diagonal.
