my photo hard disk has crashed. so i'm facing some reshoots of recentish stuff. this file is okay. so i will battle with the other reshoots, bob, and the hooks can be messy. i don't actually mind the messiness... i didn't want it to look too posed. bugzie

I like the presentation and composition a lot. The DOF works for me except in the area of the hooks where the shot becomes a bit of a busy blur. I think if the DOF was a bit wider (to separate the foreground and background hooks with detail) - or (keeping the same DOF) if the foreground hook was laid a bit to the left to provide some separation using space) it might work.
