Reflecting on Failure - Liquid Lunch by Bugzie

Melbourne, Australia

I went back to reshoot my Reflecting the Past photo. But alas, the play of sun on the glass wall was good, but the reflections in the Queen Anne building's windows were a dud. So bugger art this time, have lunch. A traditional aussie liquid lunch. I used my new circular polarising filter for this shot.

Bugzie - I think I preferred the original. The tilt is a bit offputting on this one, but I quite liked it on the original

a new crop. might help focus more on the glass.

I like the tilt - although I usually have a few more empties on the table before I get that far off horizontal ;)

i wouldn't be an aussie if i let my beer get warm. ;-) and i like hacking things off. it's a little neater than i wanted it to tell the truth. i respect your opinion cos you're such a terrific photographer, but unless i get something closer to what i wanted, it stays as it is.

I like the idea, but I'm wondering why did you cut a bit from the glass at the bottom and from the salt-cellar at the top. The picture looks a bit busy, and the colors and reflectionss on the glass (which are great) are a bit hidden therefore. I suggest to recompose and focus more on these elemenst (in case you still have some beer left). MCsaba
