Thanks for the feedback folks. Very helpful for future shots.

I've posted a different perspective in the exhibition space with a bit more DOF but it doesn't show the great texture on the edge which is what I really like about this shot.

Bugzie: You weren't supposed to notice it was crooked (camera=level, table=not) 8^P

I think Chris and Bugzie are correct - a deeper DOF would help immmensely - doesn't sharp all the way back (although that might be cool too), but I think there should be at least several rows of sharp pyramids. The straighter horizon would also help - I don't know that you even need any black at the bottom of this one.
Color and tone of the glass are great.

This image represents a good starting point.

Hope you don't mind if I'm too critical...

1) I think with a greater DOF, to bring out the 'pyramids' in the background,
2) a slight rotation to the left to give the glass a 'true horizon'

this could be a much better shot...

Hope this helps,

-Chris

a lovely piece of glass. what fun to play with! the angle of the horizontal is a bit "is it supposed to be straight, or is it supposed to be on an angle..." maybe straighten it, or put it at a definite angle. maybe a bit more DOF cos the pyramids are great. and maybe camera angle a little more over the the pyramids so it's a broader plane. ...a little less black at the bottom. just suggestions, cos, i know, you change one little thing and you lose another.
