FWIW :
- The original version is cropped the same way at the bottom (i.e. this was really intentional)
- I cropped to almost square (that seemed appropriate, considering the inner circle proportion, and the fact that I had to achieve a framing effect with the leaflets)
- Having it dead centre would be rather dull
- The inner part has so much symmetry that the mind is smart enough to complete the picture
- If anything, I would crop even more at the bottom
- But I decided not to (I like the propotions as is)

I mean the circle in the sunflowers middle with the dark texture, bounded sparsely by open inlforescences. My feeling is just that the bottom of this bound is incomplete. MCsaba

Nice treatment Alain - like the tone you choose. Also like the sharp focus a lot. The detail of the middle is nicely contained and framed by the smoother petals. Good shot, and good PP. Not sure what MC meant about the inner circle, have you re-posted?

I'm missing the whole innermost circle. In this version just a bit is left from its edge, too little to make it a picture element but too obvious to miss it. I like the natural colors of sunflowers very much but the B&W version produced pale-white petals. I like the idea and the natural textures. MCsaba
