Chrysler Building by Tlaloc

My favourite skyscraper. The Chrysler Building's tower was modeled after hubcaps of the 1930s, according to my tour guide. I applied gradients to the background so as to isolate the architectural features of this fascinating building.

Dennis, this gives me the impression of leaning to the left, but I guess that's because we're not looking straight at the corner. Good idea for the subject, but I'd prefer not to have this artificial background as it makes it look like a model rather than the real thing. Great shapes and I agree that's it's a fine and interesting building, definitely my favourite in Manhattan as well. John

The irregular crop is really a combination of two mistakes - when I rotated the image to straighten the tower, I didn't crop out enough of the blank space, and then when I noticed the mistake, I cloned insufficiently.

A classic with a strong repetitive form.
Is there something irregular cropped at the top?
Mike.
