Don't try this at home :-) There are several ways to chase threads on a lathe - this has to be the most hazardous.

Roger, I have to agree with Ord. I suspect there's an occasional threaded finger with this setup and no safety guard or glove. Good lighting, with the reflection doing a good job of highlighting the cutting tool through to the workpiece. John.
