On the bench by MCsaba

Personally I do not like strong postprocessing too much, but in this case I made an exception due to the pastel colors.

Actually, my feeling was that the original colors are "too strong" for the old man, and I do not wanted to convert to B&W. MCsaba

Not a bad rendition, but one thing I've learned from all these Challenges is there's a limit to the degree of processing before people aren't so interested in the image as a photo any more. Your original is not the most natural capture in terms of lighting and detail. However, your composition is good and you have overcome the other issue well with this approach. I enjoy looking at your effort here in any case. Cheers, John

I prefer the original by far. I really like it. To me it's the "painting" look of the original photography (compositionally, tonality and lighting wise) what gives it a special quality, while as a pastel it's not really particular. Regards.
