Nice composition and warm tones Fritz. Also good effort for 1/300 sec at 400mm.
For JJ, at 400mm (600mm in 35mm frame equivalent terms), DOF is fairly small, even at f/8. The much larger sensor size than that in the A1/A2 also means that DOF is smaller for the 7D than it is for the same equivalent focal length with the A1/A2, if there was any such equivalent beyond 200mm that is.
Cheers, John

I'm suprised how soft the background is using f~8. Did you blur it in post? -JJ

Dear JJ, thanks for your comment! That's why I have boght the 7D but I still keep my A2, it's much smaller and lighter to carry and it attracks much less people, when using in the street. Fritz

Really nice sharp pic. Looking at the exif I was blown away as my A2 could not achieve this at those settings without a major lighting set-up. Even then at ISO 400 forget it. So I had a look at the Minolta site to see what a Dynax 7D was all about....whole different animal. Once again nice pic. Simple joys of children. - JJ
