Between the dark and the daylight
Lies a period of abandonment.
Mellow past, present white
In cool, blue entombment.

Abandonded silo at sunset
Pointing to the present.
Holds no regret.
Man's endeavor absent.

Antenna once energy shared
with earth from on high.
Now icy contrails herald,
"Sunset is nigh."
