Very simple and graphic. Actually I first looked at this one. That's the reason one I thought "Circle of lights" was shoot through a similar material...

Henry. It is a glass sphere (paper weight) that has bubbles inside. It is put on a makeup magnifying mirror to get the circle illumination and he reflection of the glass without getting the reflection of the camera that is above it. Shot at f22 to flatten it.

A fascinating image. I suppose these are bubbles in plastic.
