Escaping by John down under

duck pond, Golden Grove, Adelaide, South Australia

This Little Pied Cormorant was taking a break from diving for fish in a local pond and decided to launch itself off the bank at just the right time for C19. :o)

Thanks to the suggestion that this looks like bars behind with the bird breaking out. As a result, I changed the name from Launching to Escaping.

nice capture, very appealing blue water - I see what you mean about the rails, work well with the change of title.

I like the leaning into the take off and how all the lines work.
Great bit of anticipation , timing , skill .

Nice capture...I think the reflected rails really do the trick - makes me think 'cage' and a quick break-out.

Very nice motion capture. Have you gone over to ducks, because your ants are moving too slow ;-) ? But probably you've already set up some mini roller-coaster in ant size...
Seriously, I very much like, how the reflected railing works as a background here.

Keep up the good work,

Perfect capture and compo: the bird aligned with the reflection of the railing. Good one John !
