Nice to have a pet python handy, but I think all pet pythons should be named Monty. Other than that it's a fantastic idea, and even better image. Good one to frame (or cage)!

Awesome idea (even with Escher's help) and execution. Well done!

Thanks for the comments :)

John - I put him there! That's Judas, our pet ball python. He enjoyed being on the table, but it was difficult to convince him to pose nicely.

cbse, the texture on the rest of him is natural. The other parts of the picture just have levels, sharpening and de-saturating. It is fortunate that the table top was similar - the first set I tried had a beige table cloth on, but everything looked very washed out, and the points where the real parts met the drawing looked out of place.

Good one ord ! As a matter of fact, I was also in the process of mimicing a drawing of M.C. Escher (the 2 hands drawing each other). This guy created really amazing illusion art ! You beat me to it, and you have done a wonderfull job.

Very nice. I especially like the way the transparent effect appears to carry into the 'real' parts of the snake; the color and texture of its skin is very much like the table top. Was hard to tell from the original, but were these parts post processed too? Either way, terrific effect.

Great idea ord. How did you come to have a snake on your table? Cheers, John

Excellent use of Photoshop's artistic filters. I never knew for what to use those. Fits the theme well.
