John, You're absolutely right about the hand. Original showed no sense of movement, so I tried to selectively apply motion blur. Maybe I'll attempt to reshoot at slower speed, but at the time my "impulsive" kids were getting "out of hand" with the dad-approved slap fest. I think I'd have preferred a woman slapping a man anyway, but I could get my wife riled up enough :)

Bob, further to my observation on composition, which is what grabs me the most, I guess I should add that on closer inspection the outline of the hand looks a bit too obvious, almost as if it was pasted in there, although the contact with the face is the right shape. If I defocus a bit my shutting my squinting or crossing my eyes a little it still looks great and perhaps more natural. Cheers, John

Clever idea nicely executed so it looks less staged and perfect. The semi-anonymity adds to its impact so that I focus on what it means rather than who the people are.
