I understand the comments about it being a bit flat. I've tried various enhancements, crops etc., but so far I still prefer the "original". I will keep trying.

Certainly "impulsive" but as Patrick says it may be a bit geeky/technical for the average photog.

Just a thought what would it look like in mono or duotone with a flash of lightning introduced?

Different interpretation of the theme (and one a geek like me appreciates!) Seems a bit too bland though. I would consider a longer exposure while the power is switched on so you get the pointer sweeping up to the set point, then try a close crop from the top left of the "A" to just right of the middle of the dial, if that makes sense. (I'm more sure about the longer exposure than about the crop.)

EDIT: Looked again and saw the shadowing of the needle, which you could trick us into thinking is motion if you brought attention to it. You might try the aforementioned crop on this image and see how it works.
