I guess you were quite lucky (but that's "ok" too :)) with this one ;)

Great photo with good sharpness and contrast, and it's obvious that the dog is "on the edge" :)

Wonderfully seen and captured. As for on the edge, well he could not get much closer.

It is strange how such dog images evoke feelings of humour but this one makes me smile because though not a dog owner this says "dog behaviour" out loud.

For Veronica:, I originally was trying to go for a shot that showed he is on the second floor (which are no doubt more "edgy") but I just could not resist his expression, the paws after the edge and how he "fills the frame" on this one.

For Don: I had my Nemo (who has some terrier genes as well!) on the leash while I was taking these pictures, so they were both paying a lot of attention to each other. But before approaching I observed this little guy for a while, and this is just his normal behavior when somebody walks by on the sidewalk. Although it looks edgy to us "unstable" bipeds.. in reality it's pretty safe for a four legged little terrier... oops, I've just taken away some of the edginess here ;-)

Claudio, Love it, love it, love it! Little guy is so TOTALLY on the edge! Great capture. I looked back at your two out takes, and can I tell you something? I thought the second one,http://www.pbase.com/image/31164454/original, gave me a big fright. I thought it made "the edge" just a tad scarier. It must have been the height. You're great.

Hi Rene,

Glad you like it. He resembles it a bit, but he's not a JR terrier (look at the ears) . But from what I could tell from how he carries himself he definitely has terrier genes!

Yes, he is OK. That's just how he does his guard thing! He looked like a very funny dog and kept going in an out as people where passing on the sidewalk. You can see him in some more action here and here

Humorous interpretation! I like it and it certainly fits the theme to a tee. I have a feeling this dog knows what’s going on 24/7.
