Thanks for the kind words...niamh - it's day 2 of owning an A1;-)
Was bit more overcast with sunny moments:-)... I did very little to no photoshopping and left the image and colors as they came from the camera. (I did "Blue UP" the water with layers and color balance tools but discarded the changes in favor of the original shot.)- basically all I did was convert it from RAW using Minolta's converter, sharpen it lightly as a tiff, and converted it to a jpeg.
I do have shots of the whole boat and surrounding area however this photo is not cropped - I never used the whole boat though - the "reflection" at the stern was poor and there is another boat shadowing it etc.. so I went with the theory that you can "See" the rest of the boat in your mind because you know it's there (or else it would be reflecting off the bottom of the sea:-)
Thanks again - much appreciated.. it's a learning curve...

Very nice, colourful reflections in the water - I can almost hear the water slapping against the quay and smell the fresh air. :) You did well not to "blow out" the highlights on that white boat, given that it looks quite a bright day in that photo. For me, I would a less tight crop on the front of the boat - I'd rather like to see the full boat and its surroundings - but that's just personal opinion, others may disagree.
