John and Smatty,
Thanks for your comments. This morning I wasn't sure I had the energy to tackle a change. Then I was thinking about how I could make the background still or remove it entirely. I finally worked out a way to match the 2 frames' backgrounds exactly over top of each other. I've now modified my entry. Even if I don't get any votes for this photo, it was a worthwhile exercise as I've learned something new. :-)

I didn't set out to do the animated gif in the first place. I had shot 2 quick continous shots. There was another fellow next to the boy eating the pizza making faces so I had to do a close crop near his face which made the photo not very appealing for the competition. I came upon the idea for the animated gif when I was going back and forth trying to decide which of the two photos was the better one.

I agree with John. A tripod would have kept the background "in place" and concentrated the focus on "the bite" ;)

From John down under:
Hi umbro10,
Great idea for something different in this gallery! Well done! The only thing for me is that the moving background is a bit distracting, but no big deal.
Cheers, John
