A cup of green tea in the shade on a hot day - to me it seems like a very good topic. I have no objection to the light in the OOF area, to me the question is rather - would I have placed even the tea cup (slightly) out of focus?
Ha, ha, thank you very much for your frankness Nigel, and you are absolutely right, better I had not chosen this photo. It has many shortcomings, btw. was one of the very first photos taken with my dSLR and a manual lens. But the thing is I do like it, but this must be something personal, feelings and memories which connect me to the place and time.
I have always admired your images Andreas, and your other posts are great, but I'm not sure I get this one; the highlights are too bright for me and the cup seems a bit low down in the composition... and out of focus? Sorry, Nigel
