Henri Cartier-Bresson says he does not like to fly but would rather take a train as he can watch the terrain gradually change. I’m in the process of moving and driving across the country is a way to experience that. About 100 miles into my trip I lost sight of the Rocky Mountains. I watched the land change from flat barren land to rolling green hills as I crossed the state of Kansas. Shortly after entering Kansas I think I found the highest point in western Kansas, it’s the overpass just west of Victoria, KS. When you crest the top you can see for miles. Kansas is noted for its farming and not just wheat. Near Topeka I stopped to take a photo of this wind turbine farm. They grow them big in Kansas. The giant sentinels facing into the wind. They are quite the sight to see.
