As I have said before I do not do many self-portraits but today had a different feel to it. It has been gray and cloudy this afternoon so I decided to shoot indoors. I was limited in models so this guy will have to suffice. I wanted to play with fill flash using it to only highlight the shadows but where the viewer does not know it was even used. This is taken in my bedroom with the main light comong from the window and the flash to fill the shadows. I used slow sync and under exposed the flash by one stop. Technically I am pleased with how it turned out but the model does need his beard trimmed. It seems strange to view a large image of myself that is posted on the inernet.
In studying the image I noticed how much I have grown to look like my dad. I see his features and that is just fine with me! He's a good looking man!
