With all the rain I headed out early to spend time with the birds near one of the natural areas on the east side of town. It is still misting and we have some great lighting. I've seen a Great Blue Heron and a half dozen Pelicans. This is the image I chose to post because of the story it tells. This Meadowlark is singing a song first thing in the morning. I wonder if it is because they do not fret about the day but celebrate the gift of the day.
