20090519-_DSC0727-Edit.jpg

After kneeling on the ground hunched over a camera and tripod, my knees make these strange sounds when I stand up. Sort of a popping sound, like something just broke in two. It doesn't hurt but scares away any squirrels and birds that are around me. Any people enjoying the sound of nature near by ask if I'm okay. Embarrassing and don't tell me I'm getting old, I already know that! I've been shooting a lot of flowers with a 105mm macro lens so getting down low is where it's at. I'm not too worried about getting my pants dirty or wearing out the knees in my pants, just my knees. What is that popping sound? I know, maybe a new longer focal length macro lens would be just the thing. Yea, that's it! A new lens!
I took this image of a Columbine at Inniswood Gardens this morning.

Nikon D300 ,Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro
1/80s f/5.6 at 105.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Yeah, I hear ya down here! Actually, I have the same issues in my knees and my neck! People duck around here because they think they are getting shot at! LOL! Beautiful shot, btw....perfect light! Gorgeous color!
