I am also from the Cowdrey family. They came to the US in 1630, landing at Lynn, Massachusetts. They came from England, but were originally from France.

My great-grandfather, Charlie Cowdrey, founded Cowdrey Colorado by getting a post office situated there, and my grandfather, Arthur Cowdrey, was born there. Your photos are wonderful. Thank you.

I spent a couple of years in the Cowdrey area. You've nailed it just as I remember. Especially the chapel. Beautiful.
