The smell on the streets -- a combination of people, livestock, and untreated gasoline & diesel exhaust, sticks to the roof of your mouth, especially riding in these open autorickshaws. Sometimes it's intoxicating, mostly it's nauseating.

And, as with virtually everything else, you get used to it.
