Lung Transplant Open 2005

The first annual Lung Transplant Open, a golf tournament to raise funds for lung transplant research at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, Canada, took place June 9, 2005 at Castlemore Golf & Country Club in Brampton, Ontario. The tournament was conceived by lung transplant recipients Kim Cassar, Peter Laurence and me, Merv Sheppard as a way of "giving back" to the Lung Transplant Team that gave us a new lease on life. Support for our cause was wonderful and the day was a huge success thanks to our paritipants and donors who helped us raise $13,000 for lung transplant research. Next year's tournament is booked for the same golf course, Wednesday, June 7, 2006. Mark your calendar!

for a moment there i was expecting pictures of an open lung surgery! - but photos of a group of folks at a golf tournament are ok as well - cheers!
