The Kilree Monastic site consists of a small graveyard complete with the traditional yew tree, a tower and high cross. The high cross is an ornate cross with spirals and the bosses suggest it is copied from traditional wooden crosses. There are around 200 high crosses in Ireland from the 9th and 10th centuries.
