East Portal Mullan Tunnel, MRL 3rd Sub

Various photos of the Northern Pacific blower housing located at the east portal of Mullan Tunnel on MRL's 3rd Sub. Pictures were taken during different trips to MRL country in 2004-2012.

The tunnel's old blower assembly was torn down by MRL crews during the summer of 2009. A significant part of Montana Rail Link's Mullan Tunnel renovation project which shortened the tunnel length by several hundred feet, and lowered the tunnel floor by several feet as well.
