MRL Models

Here are most of my custom painted Montana Rail Link models. These shots are of the models in various stages of completion so some details may be missing. Models include SW-1200s, SD40s, SD45s, SD45-2s, SD70ACes, & a few others. Newest images are at the top of page 1.

I've settled with water based acrylic paints on my custom painted MRL models. Testors Pollyscale CSX Blue and Engine Black have been the colors of choice. Once painted, I then seal the finished models with a couple coats of Testors clear glaze to bring out the color depth and shine. ~ Robby F.

Awesome work ! I have done three MRL units but the scale and quality of your craftsmanship is way beyond my efforts.

Also interested to know what paint you use.
