Selected roster shots from 2012 through 2021 of various GATX (former CONX) tank cars seen exclusively on the Montana Rail Link between Missoula and Thompson Falls, MT.

Numerous pictures form my October 2015 and 2018 trips highlight tank cars with unique white patch jobs, along with several completely repainted black by GATX after completing mechanical inspections. These new spotting features were added to the mix due to a roll-over derailment in December 2014 of 30 empty tank cars in Missoula, MT after a low speed impact from run away equipment in the yard.

Prior to May 2012 this series of tank cars was lettered CONX without the "10" added to the beginning of each number. See the old gallery linked below for historic images.
