Sorry to see you go Doc! I enjoyed looking at your galleries ... as you know the main reason for 'bullying' is jealousy. As hard as it is take the comments as a compliment!

Dr Mike - I can fully appreciate your sentiments, but would ask you to believe that there are more genuine good guys within the pbase community, than the minority offensive half wits. I'm sorry that you have decided to leave us, and hope that you don't view us all in the same light. I hope to be able to welcome you back, and share the enjoyment of our hobby. Regards Geoff

Sad to hear your so upset with those unkind comments..I really enjoyed visiting your Galleries Michael. Thank you for your kind comments on my work. I also received unkind comments including sexually demeaning remarks but these do not stop me from showing my work on Pbase. I say stuff those people who say mean things to you ! You are an individual, who like the rest of us have a right to express ourselves by our work. Please come back...regards from Dianne.

this is really unfortunate. by leaving, you grant an easy victory to whomever it is that derives pleasure out of posting meaningless drivel in our galleries. i have had just one nasty comment, probably a year ago, someone posted something really offensive under a picture of one of my daughters. i thought long and hard about it then, and decided not to leave. i value pbase and the interaction i have with other photographers very much, i will not allow some pathetic individual to take it away from me. you have to remember that someone who comes here and posts malicious, unfounded comments, craves some sort of attention. sad really. best of luck, whatever you decide.

Please reconsider. There seem to be some people who thrive on causing discord and seem to enjoy hurting others. I think that the best way to defeat them is to persevere. Best wishes, whatever you ultimately decide.

Depressing to hear that people would make such mean comments! Also sad that you felt you had to leave PBase over that nonsense. If it had happened to me, I would have deleted the offensive remarks and carried on.
