They had four 50 cal. machine guns and while meant to be used for shooting at airplanes, they were devastating as support for ground troops.
In all, the battalion had 64 of half-tracks.
In spite of their WWII heritage, the quad-50s could track the jet airplanes of the day (our F-86 or their MIGs) on a crossing pattern.
