How do you do?
My name is hideki.
It was born in Yamagata Prefecture jinmachi in Japan.
It referred to CAMP YOUNGHANS and came against your photograph.
The photograph of those days was seen and it was impressed.
Even now, this church remains.
The musical band of the Self-Defense Forces is using it.
Although it is a wish, aren't there any other photographs of CAMP YOUNGHANS?
I would like to see.
I would appreciate your favor.
(I cannot speak English.)
I'm sorry if it is strange language.

My father was in MP unit at Camp Younghans in early 50's. My sister and I went to grade school on base there. I was six and she was eleven. We lived in TENDO in a Japanese house. We had to ride Japanese bus to Jinmachi and walk to the gate at Younghans where we caught the base bus to school. Later, we got base housing and it was great! Everything we needed was on base, and a free bus came by every 15 minutes to take you anywhere on base. We really hated leaving there when my dad got orders back to CONUS. I remember the waterfall shown in some of the pictures on this site. We came home on the WALKER. Years later I went to Viet Nam on the same ship! I have some old pix I will try to upload if I can locate them. Thanks for the memories!
