A summer of historically high temperatures with almost no rain created real problems around the area. A trip around Lake Tyler shows how the lake is shrinking. Winter rains have not helped much. While the drought and extreme heat have abated, rainfall during 2012 was still well below average and the lake level is very low in January 2013.
