Thanks for the great info, I love to hear the stories from the people who fought for us. Sorry to hear about the Nambu being tossed, I can see why you did it though, I cant imagine how much you wanted to get home asap.

Hi: I'm a WWII vet...25th Infantry Division who fought in Philippines in the Caraballo Mountains..slightly wounded (Jap knee mortar and malaria.. I captured a jap pistol like the one you displayed...but I blieve it is spelled NAMBU and not NAMBOO....After the war, when we shipped back to the US (Puget sound) the powers that be said all contraband found would delay our discharge....so I sadly dropped my coveted Nambu over the side....and of curse whe we disembarked the next day, no search was ever made! I regret doing that deed! I should have known the Army tricks! You have a great site!
